▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ NAY, I call to witness the coming-down in parts [of this Qur'an] 75 And most surely it is a very great oath if you only knew; 76 Indeed, it is a noble Qur'an 77 In a Book kept hidden 78 which none but the pure [of heart] can touch: 79 a sending down from the Lord of all the Worlds. 80 So is this the matter regarding which you laze? 81 And make denial thereof your livelihood? 82 Why, then, when the soul of the dying man reaches the throat, 83 And you are at that time looking on - 84 – at that moment when We are closer to him than you, although you do not see (Us) 85 So why is it not, that if you are not to be repaid, – 86 Call back the soul, if ye are true (in the claim of independence)? 87 Thus, then, if he be of those Nearest to Allah, 88 there shall be calmness and ease, a Garden of Delight. 89 And if he is one of the People on the Right, 90 'Peace be upon thee, Companion of the Right!' 91 And if he is from the deniers, the astray, – 92 he will be welcomed with boiling water. 93 And a hurling into the blazing fire. 94 This is the absolute Truth and certainty. 95 So glorify the name of your Great Lord. 96
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
