Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 For a known term? 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 The living and the dead, 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
