He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away. 1 when the blind man approached him, 2 What could inform thee but that he might grow (in grace) 3 Or be reminded and the remembrance would benefit him? 4 Yet you pay attention 5 to him thou attendest 6 though you will not be questioned even if he never purifies himself. 7 But he who comes to you running, 8 And he feareth 9 You neglect. 10 Indeed, this [Quran] is an admonition. 11 So whoever wills, let him pay attention to it. 12 Inscribed in Writs honoured, 13 Exalted, Purified, 14 by the hands of scribes 15 Noble and righteous. 16 Woe to man! How ungrateful he is! 17 Of what thing hath He created him? 18 From a sperm-drop He created him and destined for him; 19 Then (as for) the way-- He has made it easy (for him) 20 and in the end He causes him to die and brings him to the grave; 21 Then when He wills, He will resurrect him. 22 Yet man declines to do His bidding. 23 Let man therefore consider (the sources of) his food. 24 [how it is] that We pour down water, pouring it down abundantly; 25 Then We cleave the earth, cleaving (it) asunder, 26 how We made the grain to grow, 27 And Grapes and nutritious plants, 28 And olive and palm trees 29 And enclosed gardens luxuriant. 30 and fruit and pastures, 31 A provision for you and for your cattle. 32 And when the Blast shall sound, 33 On the Day whereon a man shall flee from his brother, 34 And his mother and his father, 35 and from his spouse and his children: 36 for on that day everyone will be completely engrossed in his own concerns. 37 Some faces on that day will be radiant, 38 and be cheerful and joyous. 39 but some faces will be covered with dust 40 o'erspread with darkness -- 41 Those are the disbelievers, the wicked ones. 42
Almighty God's Truth.

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
