The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the sky with its constellations, 1 By the Promised Day! 2 And by the Day witnessing and the Day witnessed, 3 Cursed were the companions of the trench 4 by a burning fire 5 while they sat around it, 6 witnessing what they were doing. 7 They had naught against them save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Owner of Praise, 8 to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and earth. And Allah is the Witness of all things. 9 Lo! they who persecute believing men and believing women and repent not, theirs verily will be the doom of hell, and theirs the doom of burning. 10 For those who believe and do righteous deeds, will be Gardens; beneath which rivers flow: That is the great Salvation, (the fulfilment of all desires), 11 Indeed the seizure of your Lord is very severe. 12 It is He who originates and repeats. 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 – the Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 He does what He intends (or wills). 16 Has it come to you the story of the hosts 17 Pharaoh and Thamood? 18 And yet, they who are bent on denying the truth persist in giving it the lie: 19 However, God encompassed their activities. 20 Nay; but this is a glorious Qur'an, 21 In the Preserved Tablet. 22
