The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the heaven and the Morning Star 1 And what can make you know what is the night comer? 2 It is the star that shines with a piercing brightness -- 3 There is no soul but that it has over it a protector. 4 So let man see from what he is created! 5 He is created from a gushing fluid 6 which comes out of the loins and ribs. 7 Surely (Allah) is able to bring him back (to life)! 8 A day when the secrets will be examined. 9 Then will (man) have no power, nor any helper. 10 By oath of the sky from which comes down the rain. 11 And by the earth which splitteth, 12 Most surely it is a decisive word, 13 And it is no joke. 14 They are devising a guile, 15 but I too plan against them. 16 Therefore grant a delay to the Unbelievers: Give respite to them gently (for awhile). 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
