The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Hallow thou the name of thine Lord, the Most High, 1 Who has created (all things) proportionately, 2 Who measureth, then guideth; 3 and who brings forth herbage, 4 Then made it dry and dark. 5 We shall make you recite (the Qur'an) so that you will not forget it, 6 except what Allah should wish. He knows all that is manifest and all that is hidden. 7 We shall ease you to the easy. 8 Therefore give admonition in case the admonition profits (the hearer). 9 Those who fear will understand. 10 Only the wretch will turn aside, 11 Who will enter the Great Fire, 12 Wherein he shall neither die nor live, 13 He who purified himself shall prosper, 14 And glorify the name of their Guardian-Lord, and (lift their hearts) in prayer. 15 But you prefer the worldly life, 16 but the Everlasting Life is better, and more enduring. 17 This is what is written in the ancient heavenly Books, 18 the Scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
