Or do those in whose hearts is a disease deem that Allah will not bring to light their (secret) hates? 29 Had We so wiled, We could have shown them up to thee, and thou shouldst have known them by their marks: but surely thou wilt know them by the tone of their speech! And Allah knows all that ye do. 30 And of a surety We shall prove you all until We know the strivers among you and the steadfast, and We shall prove your states. 31 Those who disbelieved and barred others from Allah's Way and opposed the Messenger after the True Guidance had become manifest to them, they shall not be able to cause Allah the least harm; rather, Allah will reduce all their works to nought. 32 Believers, obey God and the Messenger and do not invalidate your deeds. 33 ۞ Indeed those who disbelieved and prevented others from Allah’s way, and then died as disbelievers – so Allah will never forgive them. 34 So do not become weak-kneed and sue for peace, for you will have the upper hand as God is with you and will not overlook your deeds. 35 The life of this world is but play and pastime, but if you believe (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism), and fear Allah, and avoid evil, He will grant you your wages, and will not ask you your wealth. 36 If He should ask you for it and urge you, you will be niggardly, and He will bring forth your malice. 37 Ha, there you are; you are called upon to expend in God's way, and some of you are niggardly. Whoso is niggardly is niggardly only to his own soul. God is the All-sufficient; you are the needy ones. If you turn away, He will substitute another people instead of you, then they will not be your likes. 38
