Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Magnify the Name of thy Lord the Most High 1 Who hath created, and further, given order and proportion; 2 And Who makes (things) according to a measure, then guides (them to their goal), 3 It is He who has caused the grass to grow, 4 then made it dry dark, flaky stubble, 5 We will make you recite so you shall not forget, 6 save what God wills; surely He knows what is spoken aloud and what is hidden. 7 We shall make all your tasks easy. 8 REMIND, THEN, [others of the truth, regardless of] whether this reminding [would seem to] be of use [or not]: 9 The admonition will be received by those who fear (Allah): 10 but aloof from it will remain that most hapless wretch 11 he who [in the life to come] shall have to endure the great fire 12 Then he neither dies in it, nor lives. 13 He who purified himself shall prosper, 14 And recites the name of his Lord and serves with devotion. 15 But you prefer the present life, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 This, indeed, was in the ancient Scrolls, 18 The scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
