Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

By the white forenoon 1 And by the Night when it is still,- 2 Your Lord (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) has neither forsaken you nor hated you. 3 The Last shall be better for you than the First. 4 And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied. 5 Found He not thee an orphan, so He sheltered thee? 6 And He found you lost and guided [you], 7 Did He not find thee needy, and suffice thee? 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with harshness, 9 And repulse not the beggar; 10 And as to the favour of thine Lord, discourse thou thereof. 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
