And indeed this Qur’an has been sent down by the Lord Of The Creation. 192 Which the trustworthy Ruh [Jibrael (Gabriel)] has brought down; 193 Upon thy heart, that thou mayest be of the warners, 194 In plain Arabic language. 195 And verily it is in the Scriptures of the ancients. 196 Was it not a sign for them, that it is known to the learned of the Children of Israel? 197 And if we had revealed it to any of the foreigners 198 And he had read it unto them, even then they would not have been believers therein. 199 Thus have We caused this (Admonition) to penetrate the hearts of the culprits (like a hot rod). 200 They will not believe therein until they behold the torment afflictive. 201 It will come upon them unawares, and they will not comprehend it. 202 Then will they say: "Can we be given respite?" 203 So for Our punishment are they impatient? 204 Seest thou? If We do let them enjoy (this life) for a few years, 205 Then there comes to them that with which they are threatened, 206 of what avail will be the provisions of life which they have been granted to enjoy? 207 We never destroyed any habitation but that it had warners 208 to admonish them. We have never been unjust. 209 The satans did not bring down this (Clear Book), 210 it is not for them, nor are they able. 211 Truly, they are expelled from hearing. 212 (Muhammad), do not worship anything besides God lest you suffer the punishment. 213 And warn [whomever thou canst reach, beginning with] thy kinsfolk, 214 And lower thy wing to the Believers who follow thee. 215 If they disobey you, tell them, "I condemn your disobedient deeds". 216 And rely upon the Exalted in Might, the Merciful, 217 Who watches you when you get up, 218 And your turning over and over among those who prostrate themselves before Allah. 219 He is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. 220 Shall I inform you upon whom the devils descend? 221 They descend on every great accuser, extreme sinner. (The magicians) 222 Who listens to you (for spreading rumours); but most of them are liars. 223 And the Poets,- It is those straying in Evil, who follow them: 224 Do you not see that they wander about bewildered in every valley? 225 and that they [so often] say what they do not do [or feel]? 226 Not so the true believers who do good works and remember God with fervour and defend themselves only after they are wronged. The wrongdoers will soon know how evil a turn their affairs will take. 227
