The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By oath of those who establish proper ranks. 1 And so are strong in repelling (evil), 2 and the reciters of a Remembrance, 3 Verily your God is One. 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth and all that is between them, and Lord of the sun's risings. 5 Verily We! We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment: the stars. 6 And (there is) a safeguard against every rebellious Shaitan. 7 They cannot listen to the exalted assembly and they are thrown at from every side, 8 Outcast, and theirs is a constant (or painful) torment. 9 Except such as snatch away something by stealth, and they are pursued by a flaming fire, of piercing brightness. 10 So ask them for a pronouncement -- Are they stronger in constitution, or those We created? We created them of clinging clay. 11 Yet while you are filled with wonder, they just scoff; 12 and when they are admonished, they pay no heed; 13 And, when they see a Sign, turn it to mockery, 14 And they say: This is nothing but clear magic: 15 Why - after we have died and become mere dust and bones, shall we, forsooth, be raised from the dead? 16 Or our fathers of yore? 17 Say: 'Yes, but worthless' 18 For it is only a single scaring, then behold, they are watching 19 and will say: "Oh, woe unto us! This is the Day of Judgment!" 20 [It will be said], "This is the Day of Judgement which you have been denying." 21
