Hizb 46
< random >
And verily Yunus was of the sent ones. 139 He abandoned his people 140 And then they cast lots and he was the one who lost, 141 The fish swallowed him up and he deserved (all this). 142 And had he not been of those who exalt Allah, 143 he would have tarried in its belly until the day they shall be raised; 144 ۞ but We caused him to be cast forth on a desert shore, sick [at heart] as he was, 145 and We caused a gourd tree to grow over him. 146 And We sent him towards a hundred thousand people, in fact more. 147 And they believed, so We gave them provision till a time. 148 Now, ask them, has your Lord daughters, and they sons? 149 Did We create the angels as females the while they witnessed?” 150 Oh, verily, it is out of their own [inclination to] falsehood that some people assert, 151 Allah hath begotten. Allah! verily they tell a lie. 152 "He has chosen daughters in preference to sons"! 153 “What is the matter with you? What sort of a judgement you impose!” 154 Will ye not then receive admonition? 155 Or, is there for you a clear warranty 156 “Then bring forth your Book, if you are truthful!” 157 And they have made between Him and the jinn a kinship whereas the jinn assuredly know that they are to be brought up 158 God is far above what they attribute to Him, 159 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 160 So surely you and what you worship, 161 cannot mislead anyone 162 except those who are doomed to enter hell. 163 None of us is there, but has a known station; 164 And most surely we are they who draw themselves out in ranks, 165 we are they that give glory. 166 And indeed they (Arab pagans) used to say; 167 Had we a reminder from those of yore, 168 then were we God's sincere servants.' 169 But they disbelieved in it; soon they shall know! 170 And Our word has already preceded for Our servants, the messengers, 171 Most surely they shall be the assisted ones 172 And most surely Our host alone shall be the victorious ones. 173 (Muhammad), stay away from them for a while 174 And watch them (how they fare), and they soon shall see (how thou farest)! 175 Do they wish (indeed) to hurry on our Punishment? 176 So when it does descend in their courtyards so what an evil morning it will be for those who were warned! 177 So turn away from them for a while. 178 and watch. They, too, will watch. 179 Glory be to your Lord, the Lord of Honor, above what they describe. 180 And peace is upon the Noble Messengers. 181 and praise be to God, the Lord of all the Worlds. 182
Almighty Allah's Truth.
