T H (Taa Haa)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta' Ha' 1 We have not sent the Quran down to you to distress you, 2 but as a reminder to he who fears. 3 A down-sent from Him who Created the earth and the heavens high. 4 (Allah) Most Gracious is firmly established on the throne (of authority). 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on the earth, and all that is between them, and all that is under the soil. 6 If thou pronounce the word aloud, (it is no matter): for verily He knoweth what is secret and what is yet more hidden. 7 God: There is no god but He. To Him belong the attributes most beautiful. 8 Has the story of Moses reached you? 9 When he saw a fire and said unto his folk: Lo! Wait! I see a fire afar off. Peradventure I may bring you a brand therefrom or may find guidance at the fire. 10 When he came close to it, a voice called out, "Moses, 11 I am thy Lord; put off thy shoes; thou art in the holy valley, Towa. 12 “And I have chosen you, therefore listen carefully to what is divinely revealed to you.” 13 I am God, and there is no god but I, so serve Me, and observe acts of prayer to remember Me. 14 "Verily the Hour is coming - My design is to keep it hidden - for every soul to receive its reward by the measure of its Endeavour. 15 So do not let one avert you from it who does not believe in it and follows his desire, for you [then] would perish. 16 And what is that in thy right hand, O Musa! 17 'It is my staff," Moses replied, "upon it I lean and with it I beat down leaves to feed my sheep and for me there are other uses in it' 18 He said: Cast it down, O Moses! 19 Moses threw it on the ground and suddenly he saw that it was a moving serpent. 20 'Take it, and do not fear' He said, 'We will restore it to its former state. 21 "Now - as another Sign - place your hand under your arm and it will come out sheer white without harm (or stain). 22 “In order that We may show you Our great signs.” 23 "Go to Fir'aun (Pharaoh)! Verily, he has transgressed (all bounds in disbelief and disobedience, and has behaved as an arrogant, and as a tyrant)." 24
