Hizb 46
< random >
And verily Yunus was of the sent ones. 139 When he ran away to a ship completely laden, 140 Then he joined the lots, and was of the condemned. 141 Then the fish swallowed him, while he was blameworthy. 142 Had he not glorified God, 143 He would have tarried in its belly till the day when they are raised; 144 ۞ but We caused him to be cast forth on a desert shore, sick [at heart] as he was, 145 And We caused a tree of gourd to grow above him; 146 Then We sent him to a hundred thousand or more, 147 And they believed, so We gave them provision till a time. 148 Now ask them if their Lord has daughters, and they sons? 149 Or created We the angels females while they were present? 150 No indeed! It is one of their fabrications when they say: 151 'God has begotten a son.' They are certainly liars. 152 Hath He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What is the matter with you, how is it that you judge? 154 Will you not then mind? 155 “Or do you have some clear proof?” 156 Then produce your scripture, if you should be truthful. 157 And they have appointed a relationship between Him and the jinns; and indeed the jinns surely know that they will be brought forth. 158 God is far above what they attribute to Him, 159 Not thus, however, [behave] God's true servants: 160 But as for you, and that you serve, 161 you shall not tempt any against Him 162 Except the one who will go into the blazing fire. 163 [All forces of nature praise God and say:] "Among us, too, there is none but has a place assigned to it [by Him]; 164 we are those who stand ranged in ranks. 165 and we are of those who glorify Allah.” 166 Even though they (unbelievers) say, 167 If we had but a reminder from the men of old 168 we would have certainly been sincere servants of God". 169 But (now that the Qur'an has come), they reject it: But soon will they know! 170 for, long ago has Our word gone forth unto Our servants, the message-bearers, 171 that it is certainly they who will be helped; 172 And [that] indeed, Our soldiers will be those who overcome. 173 So withdraw from them (O Muhammad) awhile, 174 And watch them (how they fare), and they soon shall see (how thou farest)! 175 Do they want to hasten Our punishment? 176 So when it does descend in their courtyards so what an evil morning it will be for those who were warned! 177 So turn away from them for a while. 178 And (then) see, for they too shall see. 179 Glorified be your Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power! (He is free) from what they attribute unto Him! 180 And peace be on the apostles. 181 and all praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Universe. 182
God the Almighty always says the truth.
