Verily, [in the life to come] the tree of deadly fruit 43 Food of the sinner. 44 Like murky oil, it boils within bellies 45 Like the boiling of scalding water. 46 Seize him, then drag him down into the middle of the hell; 47 "Then pour over his head the torment of boiling water, 48 Taste this; you who considered yourself the mighty, the honourable! 49 Verily this is that whereof ye were wont to doubt. 50 Indeed the pious are in a place of peace. 51 Among Gardens and Springs; 52 dressed in silks and brocade, set face to face. 53 Thus shall it be. And We shall pair them with companions pure, most beautiful of eye. 54 They will call therein for every kind of fruit in security. 55 They will not taste death again in it, except their former death; and Allah has saved them from the punishment of fire. 56 By the beneficence of your Lord. This will be the great success. 57 (O Prophet), We have made this Book easy in your tongue so that they may take heed. 58 Therefore wait; surely they are waiting. 59

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
