Q (Qaaf)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Qaf. CONSIDER this sublime Qur'an! 1 They are rather surprised that a warner from among themselves has come to them. So the unbelievers say: "This is astonishing: 2 to come back to life after we have died and become dust? That is most improbable!" 3 Surely We know that which the earth consumeth of them, and with Us is a Book preserved. 4 Aye! they belie the truth when it cometh unto them; wherefore they are in an affair confused. 5 Do they not then look up to heaven above them how We have made it and adorned it and it has no gaps? 6 And the earth - We spread it out and cast therein firmly set mountains and made grow therein [something] of every beautiful kind, 7 To be observed and commemorated by every devotee turning (to Allah). 8 And We sent down the auspicious water from the sky, therefore producing gardens with it, and the grain that is harvested. 9 And high date-palms with lush fruit. 10 As sustenance for (Allah's) Servants;- and We give (new) life therewith to land that is dead: Thus will be the Resurrection. 11 Cried lies before them the people of Noah and the men of Er-Rass, and Thamood, 12 And 'Aad and Pharaoh and the brothers of Lot 13 And the dwellers of the Wood, and the people of Tubba'; everyone of them denied (their) Messengers, so My Threat took effect. 14 Could We, then, be [thought of as being] worn out by the first creation? Nay - but some people are [still] lost in doubt about [the possibility of] a new creation! 15
