Therefore proclaim thou the praises (of thy Lord): for by the Grace of thy Lord, thou art no (vulgar) soothsayer, nor art thou one possessed. 29 Or do they say, 'He is a poet for whom we await Fate's uncertainty'? 30 Tell them: "Keep on expecting, I am expecting with you." 31 Does their reasoning prompt them to this, or they are a people rebellious? 32 Do they say, "He has falsely invented it (the Quran)?" In fact, they themselves have no faith. 33 Let them produce a scripture like it, if what they say is true. 34 Were they created out of nothing, or are they their own creators? 35 Created they the heavens and the earth! Aye! they will not be convinced. 36 Do they own the treasures of your Lord, or have they been given charge of them? 37 Or have they a ladder whereon they listen? Then let any of them that has listened bring a clear authority. 38 What! The daughters for Him, and the sons for you? 39 Or askest thou a hire from them so that they are with debt laden? 40 Or is the hidden with them, by which they pass judgements? 41 Or do they want to entrap [thee in contradictions]? But they who are bent on denying the truth - it is they who are truly entrapped! 42 Do they have another god besides God? God is too exalted to be considered equal to the idols. 43 And if they should see a portion of the heaven coming down, they would say: Piled up clouds. 44 So leave them till they encounter their Day in which they shall be thunderstruck. 45 A day in which their guile will naught avail them, nor will they be helped. 46 And there surely awaits the evildoers a chastisement beyond even that, but most of them know it not. 47 So wait patiently (O Muhammad SAW) for the Decision of your Lord, for verily, you are under Our Eyes, and glorify the Praises of your Lord when you get up from sleep. 48 And in the night time, also glorify His Praises, and at the setting of the stars. 49
