So did you observe him who turned away? 33 And gives a little and (then) withholds. 34 Has he knowledge of the Unknown that he perceives everything? 35 Or is he not informed with what is in the Pages (Scripture) of Musa (Moses), 36 And (of) Ibrahim who fulfilled (the commandments): 37 That no burdened person (with sins) shall bear the burden (sins) of another. 38 and that nought shall be accounted unto man but what he is striving for; 39 And that his striving shall soon be seen- 40 then, he shall be recompensed for it in full repayment 41 that all things in the end shall return to God; 42 It is He who causes laughter and weeping. 43 and that it is He who makes to die, and that makes to live, 44 And that He createth the two spouses, the male and the female, 45 from a drop of sperm when it was emitted, 46 and that it is for Him to grant the second life, 47 And that it is He who enriches and suffices 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that it is He (Allah) Who destroyed the former 'Ad (people), 50 And Thamud, and did not leave them, 51 as well as the people of Noah before them - [since,] verily, they all had been most willful in their evildoing and most overweening 52 And He destroyed the Overthrown Cities (of Sodom and Gomorrah). 53 and caused them to be covered with that which He covered them with. 54 Then which of thy Lord's bounties disputest thou? 55 He (Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) is a Herald of Warning, like the former Heralds of Warning. 56 The near event draws nigh. 57 none except Allah can disclose it. 58 So are you surprised at this fact? 59 And laugh and not weep, 60 And you are lost in play! 61 So bow yourselves before God, and serve Him! ۩ 62
