The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ When the Terror descends 1 There is no belying its coming to pass-- 2 abasing, exalting, 3 when the earth will suddenly shake with a terrible shaking, 4 And the mountains are crumbled, crumbled. 5 they will become like dust scattered around. 6 and you shall be three bands -- 7 So those on the Right Hand (i.e. those who will be given their Records in their right hands), Who will be those on the Right Hand? (As a respect for them, because they will enter Paradise). 8 The people of the left hand - those whose books of records will be placed in their left hands. How miserable they will be! 9 And the Outstrippers, the Outstrippers 10 Who will be honoured 11 in the Gardens of Bliss. 12 A [large] company of the former peoples 13 and how few of the later folk) 14 On couches wrought of gold, 15 Reclining thereon facing each other. 16 Surrounded by immortal boys. 17 with goblets, and ewers, and a cup from a spring 18 a drink by which their minds will not be clouded nor will it cause drunkenness; 19 And fruit of what they select 20 And meat of birds that they may wish. 21 And (there are) fair ones with wide, lovely eyes, 22 Like unto Pearls well-guarded. 23 Reward for what they used to do. 24 They will not hear any unnecessary or sinful talk 25 Nought but the saying: peace! peace! 26 And the fellows on the right hand; how be happy shall the fellows on the right hand be! 27 Midst lote-trees thornless. 28 Among Talh (banana-trees) with fruits piled one above another, 29 and spreading shade 30 And water flowing constantly, 31 And plenty of fruits. 32 Neither out of reach nor yet forbidden, 33 on raised couches. 34 for, behold, We shall have brought them into being in a life renewed, 35 And made them virginal, 36 intensely loving and of matching age. 37 For those on the Right Hand. 38

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
