Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 separating one from another, 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 The living and the dead, 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
