The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By oath of the heaven which contains the constellations. 1 and by the promised Day, 2 And [by] the witness and what is witnessed, 3 the people of the pit were destroyed 4 the makers of the fuel-stoked fire! 5 Lo! [With glee do] they contemplate that [fire,] 6 And they witnessed (all) that they were doing against the Believers. 7 And they did not take vengeance on them for aught except that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praised, 8 to whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. God is witness over all things. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and women without repenting will suffer the torment of hell and that of the burning fire. 10 Surely (as for) those who believe and do good, they shall have gardens beneath which rivers flow, that is the great achievement. 11 Indeed, the seizing of your Lord is severe. 12 It is verily He who initiates and repeats. 13 and He is the All-forgiving, the All-loving, 14 Master of the Honourable Throne. 15 Doer of what He will. 16 Hast thou received the story of the hosts, 17 of the Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 In fact the disbelievers are in denial. 19 but all the while God encompasses them [with His knowledge and might] without their being aware of it. 20 Indeed, this is a Glorious Koran, 21 in a guarded tablet. 22
