Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

I CALL TO witness the early hours of morning, 1 And the night when dark and still, 2 your Lord has not forsaken you, nor is He displeased with you, 3 And verily the Hereafter will be better for thee than the present. 4 Verily your Lord will soon give you so amply that you will be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and then gave you shelter? 6 And He found thee wandering, and He gave thee guidance. 7 And found thee in want, and given thee sufficiency? 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with harshness, 9 and chide not him who asks, 10 and proclaim the bounties of your Lord. 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
