Believers, do not accept illegal interest in order to increase your wealth many times over. Have fear of God so that you will have everlasting happiness. 130 And fear the Fire, which is prepared for the disbelievers. 131 Obey God and the Messenger so that you may receive mercy. 132 ۞ And vie with one another, hastening to forgiveness from your Lord, and to a garden whose breadth is as the heavens and earth, prepared for the godfearing 133 who spend in prosperity and in adversity, for those who curb their anger and those who forgive people. And Allah loves the charitable 134 And those who, when they do an evil thing or wrong themselves, remember Allah and implore forgiveness for their sins - Who forgiveth sins save Allah only? - and will not knowingly repeat (the wrong) they did. 135 Those - their reward is forgiveness from their Lord and gardens beneath which rivers flow [in Paradise], wherein they will abide eternally; and excellent is the reward of the [righteous] workers. 136 Some traditions have been tried before you – therefore travel in the land and see what sort of fate befell those who denied. 137 This is an exposition unto mankind and a guidance and an admonition unto the God-fearing. 138 Do not be weak, neither sorrow while you are the upper ones, if you are believers. 139 If you have been wounded they too have suffered a wound. We cause this alternation of night and day in the affairs of men so that God may know those who believe, taking some as witness (of truth) from your ranks, for God does not like those who are unjust. 140 And that He may purge those who believe and deprive the unbelievers of blessings. 141 Did you suppose that you would enter Paradise without Allah knowing those of you who struggled and who were patient? 142 For, indeed, you did long for death [in God's cause] before you came face to face with it; and now you have seen it with your own eyes! 143
