The people of Noah also rejected the messengers. 105 when their brother Noah said to them, 'Will you not be godfearing? 106 I am for you an honest Messenger, 107 “Therefore fear Allah, and obey me.” 108 "And no reward whatever do I ask of you for it: my reward rests with none but the Sustainer of all the worlds. 109 So keep your duty to Allah, and obey me. 110 ۞ They answered: "Shall we accept you even though it is the meanest of people who follow you?" 111 He said, 'What knowledge have I of that they have been doing? 112 Lo! their reckoning is my Lord's concern, if ye but knew; 113 I will not drive away the believers. 114 I am only a plain warner." 115 They said: "If thou desist not, O Noah! thou shalt be stoned (to death)." 116 He said: My Lord! Lo! my own folk deny me. 117 so give true deliverance between me and them, and deliver me and the believers that are with me. 118 We saved him and those who were with him in the laden ship, 119 and drowned the rest. 120 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 121 Your Lord is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 122
