T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta' Ha' 1 We have not sent down the Qur'an to you that you should be burdened, 2 But only as a Reminder to those who fear (Allah). 3 It is a revelation from the Creator of the earth and the high heavens. 4 The Most Gracious Who, befitting His Majesty, took to the Throne (of control). 5 To Him only belongs all whatever is in the heavens and all whatever is in the earth, and all whatever is between them, and all whatever is beneath this wet soil. 6 And if you utter the saying aloud, then surely He knows the secret, and what is yet more hidden. 7 Allah! There is no Allah save Him. His are the most beautiful names. 8 Has the story of Moses reached you? 9 When he saw a fire, he said to his family, "Wait here. I can see a fire. Perhaps I can bring you a brand from it, or find some guidance at the fire." 10 But when he came close to it, a voice called out: "O Moses! 11 Verily, I am thy Sustainer! Take off, then, thy sandals! Behold, thou art in the twice hallowed valley, 12 I Myself have chosen thee; therefore give thou ear to this revelation. 13 Verily I! I am Allah! no God there is but I; so worship Me, and establish prayer for My remembrance. 14 “The Last Day will surely come – it was close that I hide it from all – in order that every soul may get the reward of its effort.” (He revealed it to His Prophets, so that people may fear and get ready. The exact time is not revealed to the people.) 15 Do not let anyone who does not believe in it and follows his own desires turn you away from it and so bring you to ruin." 16 And what is this in your right hand, O Musa! 17 'It is my staff," Moses replied, "upon it I lean and with it I beat down leaves to feed my sheep and for me there are other uses in it' 18 He said, “Put it down, O Moosa! 19 and he cast it down, and behold it was a serpent sliding. 20 Then He said: "Seize it and have no fear. We shall restore it to its former state. 21 And draw in your hand to your side; it will come out white without disease - another sign, 22 But We shall show you some of Our greatest signs. 23 Go to Firon, surely he has exceeded all limits. 24
