O Prophet! Tell your wives and your daughters and wives of the believers that they should draw over themselves some of their outer garments [when in public], so as to be recognized and not harmed. God is most forgiving and most merciful. 59 ۞ If the hypocrites and perverts, and the rumour-mongers of Madinah, do not desist even now, We shall rouse you against them, so they would not be able to live but a short time in the city with you. 60 They shall have a curse on them: whenever they are found, they shall be seized and slain (without mercy). 61 Such has been God's way with those who [sinned in like manner and] passed away aforetime - and never wilt thou find any change in God's way! 62 The people will question thee concerning the Hour. Say: 'The knowledge of it is only with God; what shall make thee know? Haply the Hour is nigh.' 63 Verily Allah hath cursed the infidels, and hath gotten ready for them a Blaze. 64 wherein they will live forever without being able to find any guardian or helper. 65 On the day when their faces will be turned from side to side on the fire, they will say, "Would that we had obeyed God and the Messenger!" 66 And they would say: "Our Lord! We obeyed our chiefs and our great ones, and they misled us as to the (right) Path. 67 “Our Lord! Give them double the punishment of the fire and send upon them a mighty curse!” 68
