The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Prosperous are the believers, 1 They who are during their prayer humbly submissive 2 And those who turn away from Al-Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk, falsehood, and all that Allah has forbidden). 3 And those who for the sake of purification are doers. 4 And those who of their private parts are guards. 5 Except before their mates or those whom their right hands possess, for they surely are not blameable, 6 But whoever seeks to go beyond that, these are they that exceed the limits; 7 those who are faithful to their trusts and promises; 8 and who observe their prayers. 9 These are the real gainers, 10 Those who will get the inheritance of Paradise; they will abide in it forever. 11 We created the human from an essence of clay: 12 Then made him a drop of fluid in a secure shelter. 13 then We developed that drop into a clinging form, and We developed that form into a lump of flesh, and We developed that lump into bones, and clothed the bones with flesh. Then We brought him into being as a new creation, glory be to God, the best of creators, 14 And then, behold! after all this, you are destined to die; 15 Again, on the Day of Judgment, will ye be raised up. 16 We made several highways one over the other above you. We are not neglectful of creation. 17 We sent down water from the sky in due measure and lodged it in the earth, but if We please, We have the power to take it away, 18 Then We cause to grow thereby gardens of palm trees and grapes for you; you have in them many fruits and from them do you eat; 19 And [We brought forth] a tree issuing from Mount Sinai which produces oil and food for those who eat. 20 And Verily! In the cattle there is indeed a lesson for you. We give you to drink (milk) of that which is in their bellies. And there are, in them, numerous (other) benefits for you, and of them you eat. 21 You are carried by the animals on land and by the ships in the sea. 22
