Al-Rahman 3 of 3
Those who fear their Lord will have two gardens 46 Which of your Lord's favours will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 47 Having [spreading] branches. 48 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 49 Therein are two running fountains. 50 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 51 In both of them are of every fruit, two kinds. 52 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 53 Reclining upon the couches lined with silk brocade, and the fruits of the two Gardens will be near at hand. 54 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 55 In the midst of these shall be maidens with modest, restrained glances; maidens whom no man or jinn has ever touched before. 56 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 57 who are as beautiful as rubies and pearls. 58 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 59 Is there any Reward for Good - other than Good? 60 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 61 And beside these there shall be two Gardens. 62 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 63 Dark-green. 64 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 65 therein two fountains of gushing water -- 66 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- 67 In both of them there will be fruit trees and date-palms and pomegranates. 68 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 69 In them are goodly things, beautiful ones. 70 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?- 71 Companions restrained (as to their glances), in (goodly) pavilions;- 72 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 73 Undeflowered by man or by jinn before them, -- 74 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 75 Reclining on green cushions and beautiful decorated carpets. 76 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 77 Blessed be the Name of your Lord (Allah), the Owner of Majesty and Honour. 78

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. (5) وقف المجاذبة أو المعانقة حيث يجب الوقف في أي من موضعين قريبين ولكن ليس كلاهما، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة تظهر في أحد الموقعين باحتمال النصف للنصف.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
