It is He who sends down to you out of heaven water of which you have to drink, and of which trees, for you to pasture your herds, 10 With this water He produces for you crops, and olives, and dates, and grapes, and all kinds of fruit; indeed in this is a sign for people who ponder. 11 And He has subjected for you the night and day and the sun and moon, and the stars are subjected by His command. Indeed in that are signs for a people who reason. 12 On the earth He has fashioned for you objects of various hues: there is certainly a sign in that for people who pay heed. 13 And it is He who subjected the sea for you to eat from it tender meat and to extract from it ornaments which you wear. And you see the ships plowing through it, and [He subjected it] that you may seek of His bounty; and perhaps you will be grateful. 14 God has fixed the mountains on earth lest you should be hurled away when it quakes. Therein He has also made rivers and roads so that you will find your way. 15 and He has set up other landmarks. By these and by the stars people set their course. 16 Is He then Who createth as him who createth not? Will ye not then remember? 17 And if ye would count the favours of Allah ye could not compute them; verily Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. 18 God knows all that you conceal and all that you reveal. 19 And those they invoke other than Allah create nothing, and they [themselves] are created. 20 dead, not alive; and are not aware when they shall be raised. 21
