Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ When the sky is cleft asunder; 1 the stars are dispersed, 2 And when the seas are burst forth (got dried up); 3 when the tombs are overthrown, 4 (Then) a person will know what he has sent forward and (what he has) left behind (of good or bad deeds). 5 O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous, 6 who created thee and shaped thee and wrought thee in symmetry 7 In whatever form He willed, He put you together. 8 Nay, [O men,] but you [are lured away from God whenever you are tempted to] give the lie to [God's] Judgment! 9 And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers, 10 noble, recording, 11 They know whatsoever ye do. 12 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 13 and the wicked shall be in the Blazing Fire. 14 They shall enter it on the day of judgment. 15 And they shall by no means be absent from it. 16 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 17 And once again: What could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 18 [It will be] a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to another human being: for on that Day [it will become manifest that] all sovereignty is God's alone. 19
