But nay! I swear by that which you see, 38 and by that you do not see, 39 Most surely, it is the Word brought by an honored Apostle, 40 And it is not the word of a poet; little is it that you believe; 41 Nor is it the word of a soothsayer: little admonition it is ye receive. 42 (It is) a sending down from the Lord of all the Worlds. 43 And if he [i.e., the Prophets] had forged this Discourse and thereafter ascribed it to Us, 44 We would indeed have seized him by his right hand, 45 And then severed his life-vein. 46 not one of you could have prevented it from him. 47 And indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder for the righteous. 48 And lo! We know that some among you will deny (it). 49 And most surely it is a great grief to the unbelievers. 50 it is the indubitable truth. 51 Extol, then the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's mighty name! 52
