And when the messengers came unto the family of Lot, 61 he said: "Behold, you are people unknown [here]!" 62 They said: Nay, we have come to you with that about which they disputed. 63 We truly tell you that we have brought to you the Truth. 64 "Then travel in a part of the night with your family, and you go behind them in the rear, and let no one amongst you look back, but go on to where you are ordered." 65 And We informed him the decision of this command, that at morning the root of the disbelievers would be cut off. 66 The people of the town rejoicingly 67 He said: 'These are my guests; do not shame me. 68 Have fear of Allah, and do not humiliate me." 69 They said, "Have we not forbidden you from [protecting] people?" 70 He said: Here are my daughters, if ye must be doing (so). 71 Verily, by your life (O Muhammad SAW), in their wild intoxication, they were wandering blindly. 72 At sunrise a dreadful Shout seized them. 73 We turned the town upside-down and showered on them lumps of baked clay. 74 Indeed in this are signs for people who perceive. 75 And the (cities were) right on the high-road. 76 surely in that is a sign for believers. 77 And the dwellers in the wood [i.e. the people of Madyan (Midian) to whom Prophet Shu'aib was sent by Allah), were also Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers, etc.). 78 We afflicted them with punishment. Both people had clear (divine) authority among them. 79

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
