And the chiefs of his people, who disbelieved and denied the Meeting in the Hereafter, and to whom We had given the luxuries and comforts of this life, said: "He is no more than a human being like you, he eats of that which you eat, and drinks of what you drink. 33 So if you follow a man like yourself you will certainly be doomed. 34 What, does he promise you that when you are dead and turned to dust and bones, you will be brought forth? 35 ۞ "Far, very far is that which ye are promised! 36 “There is nothing except our life of this world, we die and we live, and we are not to be raised.” 37 He is not but a man who has invented a lie about Allah, and we will not believe him." 38 (The prophet) said: "O my Lord! help me: for that they accuse me of falsehood." 39 He replied: 'Before long, by the morning, they shall be remorseful' 40 So the true Scream seized them – We therefore made them like rotten hay; so away with the unjust people! 41 Then, after them, We created other generations. 42 no nation outstrips its term, nor do they put it back. 43 Then We sent Our apostles one after the other. Every time an apostle came to a people they denied him. So We made one follow the other (to its doom), and turned them into bygone tales. Cursed be the people who do not believe! 44 Then We sent Moses and his brother Aaron with Our signs and clear authority 45 To Pharaoh and his establishment, but they were arrogant and were a haughty people. 46 They said, "Are we to believe in two human beings like ourselves, while their people are subject to us?" 47 So they rejected them and became of those who were destroyed. 48 And We gave Moses the Book, that haply they would be guided; 49 And We made the son of Mary and his mother as a Sign: We gave them both shelter on high ground, affording rest and security and furnished with springs. 50
