Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what could make thee conceive what that Day of Distinction will be? 14 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 Thus We have determined the stages of development and Our power to determine is excellent indeed. 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 For the living and the dead, 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
