(Muhammad), have you ever seen the one who has turned away (from guidance), 33 who at first gave a little, then later held back? 34 Does he have knowledge of the unseen, so he sees? 35 Or is he not informed with what is in the Pages (Scripture) of Musa (Moses), 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his engagements?- 37 That no soul shall bear another's burden, 38 And that man can have nothing but what he does (good or bad). 39 He will certainly see the result of his labor 40 whereupon he shall be requited for it with the fullest requital; 41 And that unto thy Lord is the goal. 42 that it is He who brings laughter and tears; 43 that it is He who causes death and gives life; 44 and He it is Who created the two kinds, the male and the female, 45 From the small seed when it is adapted 46 And that He hath ordained the second bringing forth; 47 And that it is He (Allah) Who gives much or a little (or gives wealth and contentment), 48 And that He (Allah) is the Lord of Sirius (the star which the pagan Arabs used to worship); 49 And that He destroyed the first [people of] 'Aad 50 And Thamud, and did not leave them, 51 And before them, the people of Noah, for that they were (all) most unjust and most insolent transgressors, 52 It is He who turned upside down the people of Lot 53 And covered them by that which He covered. 54 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Day of Resurrection draws near, 57 There shall be none besides Allah to remove it. 58 Will you, then, wonder at this? 59 And will you laugh and not weep? 60 and divert yourselves all the while? 61 Prostrate yourselves before Allah, and serve Him. ۩ 62
