Pray, “My Lord! If You show me the promise they are given,” 93 O my Lord, put me not among the people of the evildoers.' 94 And We are certainly able to show thee (in fulfilment) that against which they are warned. 95 Respond to the injustice (done to you) with the better deed. We know best what they attribute to God. 96 And say: My Lord! I seek refuge in Thee from suggestions of the evil ones, 97 And I seek refuge in You, my Lord, lest they be present with me." 98 Until, when death cometh unto one of them, he saith: My Lord! Send me back, 99 that I should do righteousness in that I forsook' No! It is only a word which he will speak. Behind them there shall stand a barrier till the Day that they shall be resurrected. 100 Then when the Trumpet is blown, there will be no more relationships between them that Day, nor will one ask after another! 101 Then, those whose scales (of good deeds) are heavy, - these, they are the successful. 102 and those whose scales are light, those will be the ones who will have courted loss. They will abide in Hell. 103 The fire shall scorch their faces, and they therein shall be in severe affliction. 104 (They will be told), "Were Our revelations not recited to you and did you not call them lies?" 105 They will say: "Our Lord! Our misfortune prevailed over us. We were indeed an erring people. 106 Our Lord, remove us from it, and if we were to return [to evil], we would indeed be wrongdoers." 107 He shall say: slink away there unto, and speak not unto Me. 108 "A part of My servants there was, who used to pray 'our Lord! we believe; then do Thou forgive us, and have mercy upon us: For Thou art the Best of those who show mercy!" 109 But you ridiculed them. So much so that out of (spite) for them you forgot to remember Me and laughed at them. 110 Verily I have recompensed them today, for they bore patiently, verily they are the achievers. 111 Then Allah will ask them: "For how many years did you stay on earth?" 112 They will say, "We stayed a day or part of a day. Ask those who have kept count." 113 He will say: "You stayed there only a moment, if you knew. 114 "Did ye then think that We had created you in jest, and that ye would not be brought back to Us (for account)?" 115 Then high exalted be God, the King, the True! There is no god but He? the Lord of the noble Throne. 116 And whoever invokes (or worships), besides Allah, any other ilah (god), of whom he has no proof, then his reckoning is only with his Lord. Surely! Al-Kafirun (the disbelievers in Allah and in the Oneness of Allah, polytheists, pagans, idolaters, etc.) will not be successful. 117 So say: "O my Lord! grant Thou forgiveness and mercy for Thou art the Best of those who show mercy!" 118
God the Almighty always says the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
