Lot's nation, belied their Messengers. 160 Their brother Lot asked them, "Why do you not have fear of God? 161 Surely I am a faithful apostle to you; 162 So fear Allah, and obey me. 163 And I ask of you no wage therefor; my wage is the concern only of the Lord of the Worlds. 164 Do you, of all people, approach males, 165 and leave your wives whom your Lord has created for you? No, but you are a transgressing nation' 166 They said: If thou cease not, O Lot, thou wilt soon be of the outcast. 167 He said: "I do detest your doings." 168 “My Lord, rescue me and my family from their deeds.” 169 We therefore rescued him and his entire family. 170 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 171 Thereafter, We utterly destroyed the rest, 172 by pouring upon them a terrible shower of rain. How evil was the rain for those who had been warned! 173 Verily in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 174 Yet surely your Lord is mighty and powerful. 175
