The Ant (Al-Naml)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta. Sin. These are the verses of the Quran and of the illustrious Book 1 a guidance, and good tidings unto the believers 2 who are steadfast in prayer, who pay the religious tax, and who have strong faith in the life hereafter. 3 We have made those who do not believe in the Hereafter feel their actions appear good to them, so they wander blindly: 4 They are those for whom there will be an evil torment (in this world). And in the Hereafter they will be the greatest losers. 5 Thou receivest the Koran from One All-wise, All-knowing. 6 [Mention] when Moses said to his family, "Indeed, I have perceived a fire. I will bring you from there information or will bring you a burning torch that you may warm yourselves." 7 Then when he came unto it, he was cried unto: Thus; Blest is whosoever is in the fire and whosoever is around it; and hallowed be Allah, the Lord of the Worlds. 8 “O Moosa, I am indeed, in truth, Allah the Almighty, the Wise.” 9 Cast down thy staff.' And when he saw it quivering like a serpent he turned about, retreating, and turned not back. 'Moses, fear not; surely the Envoys do not fear in My presence, 10 except he who has committed some wrong. But if he substitutes good in place of evil, I am Most Forgiving, Most Compassionate. 11 And put your hand into the opening of your garment [at the breast]; it will come out white without disease. [These are] among the nine signs [you will take] to Pharaoh and his people. Indeed, they have been a people defiantly disobedient." 12 But when Our signs came to them in all their clarity they said, "This is clearly sorcery!" 13 And they belied them (those Ayat) wrongfully and arrogantly, though their ownselves were convinced thereof [i.e. those (Ayat) are from Allah, and Musa (Moses) is the Messenger of Allah in truth, but they disliked to obey Musa (Moses), and hated to believe in his Message of Monotheism]. So see what was the end of the Mufsidun (disbelievers, disobedient to Allah, evil-doers, liars.). 14
