We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 And We saved them and their people from the great affliction, 115 and We helped them, so that they were victorious; 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 guided them to the right path, 118 And We left (this blessing) for them among generations (to come) in later times: 119 Peace be with Moses and Aaron. 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 they were among Our believing servants. 122 Elijah too was one of the messengers. 123 when he said to his people, 'Will you not be godfearing? 124 Will ye cry unto Baal and forsake the Best of creators, 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your ancestors of yore.” 126 But they gave him the lie: and therefore they will most surely be arraigned [on Judgment Day,] 127 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 128 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 129 'Peace be upon El Yaseen' 130 That is how We reward those who do good. 131 for he was truly one of Our believing servants! 132 Lot was also one of the messengers. 133 When We saved him and his household, every one, 134 Except an old woman who was one of those who stayed behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by their ruins morning 137 Or at night. Then how is it you do not understand? 138
