In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Suad, I swear by the Quran, full of admonition. 1 But nay - they who are bent on denying the truth are lost in [false] pride, and [hence] deeply in the wrong. 2 How many a generation We have destroyed before them, and they cried out when there was no longer time for escape! 3 They marvel now that, from among themselves, a warner has come to them. The unbelievers say: 'This is a lying sorcerer. 4 Maketh he the gods One Allah? Lo! that is an astounding thing. 5 And the eminent among them went forth, [saying], "Continue, and be patient over [the defense of] your gods. Indeed, this is a thing intended. 6 We have not heard of any such thing in the old religion. This is nothing but a fabrication. 7 Hath unto him the admonition been sent down from amongst us! Yea! they are in doubt concerning My admonition. Yea! they have not yet tasted My torment. 8 Do they possess the treasures of the mercy of your, (Muhammad's), Lord, the Majestic and Munificent God? 9 Or have they the dominion of the heavens and the earth and all between? If so, let them mount up with the ropes and means (to reach that end)! 10 But there - will be put to flight even a host of confederates. 11 Even before them the people of Noah, 'Ad, the mighty Pharoah, 12 So also did the people of Thamud, Lot, and the dwellers of the Forest. 13 There was not one but belied the apostles, wherefore justified was My wrath. 14

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
