Victory (Al-Fatt-h)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Truly, We have granted you a clear victory 1 that Allah forgives your past and future sins, and completes His Favor to you, and guides you on a Straight Path, 2 and that Allah may bestow upon you a mighty help. 3 He it is Who sent down tranquillity into the hearts of the believers that they might increase belief unto their belief. And Allah's are the hosts of the heavens and the earth and Allah is ever Knowing, Wise. 4 [And] that He may admit the believing men and the believing women to gardens beneath which rivers flow to abide therein eternally and remove from them their misdeeds - and ever is that, in the sight of Allah, a great attainment - 5 And [that] He may punish the hypocrite men and hypocrite women, and the polytheist men and polytheist women - those who assume about Allah an assumption of evil nature. Upon them is a misfortune of evil nature; and Allah has become angry with them and has cursed them and prepared for them Hell, and evil it is as a destination. 6 And to Allah only belong the armies of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is Most Honourable, Wise. 7 We have truly sent thee as a witness, as a bringer of Glad Tidings, and as a Warner: 8 so that you believe in Allah and His Messenger and that you support him, revere him (Prophet Muhammad), and exalt Him (Allah), at the dawn and in the evening. 9 Those who pledge obedience to you are, in fact, pledging obedience to God. The hands of God are above their hands. As for those who disregard their pledge, they do so only against their own souls. Those who fulfill their promise to God will receive a great reward. 10
