Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ No! I swear by the Day of Resurrection, 1 And I swear by the self-reproaching soul. 2 Does man imagine that We will not be able to bring his bones together again? 3 Surely We are able to reform even his finger-tips. 4 Nay! (Man denies Resurrection and Reckoning. So) he desires to continue committing sins. 5 He asketh: When will be this Day of Resurrection? 6 But when the sight is dazed 7 And the moon will be eclipsed, 8 And the sun and the moon shall be joined. 9 That Day will Man say: "Where is the refuge?" 10 But nay: no refuge [for thee, O man]! 11 Before thy Lord (alone), that Day will be the place of rest. 12 On that day, man will be informed of all what he sent ahead and left behind. 13 nay, but man shall against himself be an eye-witness, 14 And even if he presents all the excuses he has, none will be listened to. 15 Do not forestall (the revelation before its completion) by acting in haste. 16 It is for Us to collect it and to promulgate it: 17 And so when We recite it, follow its recitation attentively; 18 Nay more, it is for Us to explain it (and make it clear): 19 No! But you love the immediate 20 And neglect the Hereafter. 21 (Some) faces on that day shall be bright, 22 Looking to their Lord. 23 And [some] faces, that Day, will be contorted, 24 Thinking that some calamity was about to fall on them; 25 Never so, for when life withdraws into the clavicula, 26 and the angels say, "Who will take away his soul, 27 And he knoweth that it is the parting; 28 And the leg is wound about the leg, 29 upon that day unto thy Lord shall be the driving. 30
