The Key (Al-Faatehah)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir) before Thorns (Al-Masad)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful 1

Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds, 2 The Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful, 3 Sovereign of the Day of Recompense. 4 You alone we worship and from You alone we seek help (and may we always). 5 Show us the straight path, 6 The path of those upon whom Thou hast bestowed favors. Not (the path) of those upon whom Thy wrath is brought down, nor of those who go astray. 7

God the Almighty always says the truth.
