We sent Noah to his people. He told them, "Worship God for He is your only Lord. I am afraid of the punishment that you might suffer on the great Day (of Judgment)". 59 The chiefs of his people said: verily we see thee in error manifest. 60 He said: O my people! there is no error in me, but I am an apostle from the Lord of the worlds. 61 I convey to you the messages of my Lord, give you sincere advice, and I know from Allah that which you do not know. 62 Does it seem strange to you that a reminder from your Lord should be sent to a man, from among you, to warn you so that you might receive mercy?" 63 But they belied him, so We saved him and those along with him in the ship, and We drowned those who belied Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.). They were indeed a blind people. 64
