Moses said: "O my Lord, enlarge my breast, 25 And ease for me my task 26 Unloose the knot upon my tongue, 27 That they may understand my speech. 28 "And give me a Minister from my family, 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 "Increase my strength with him, 31 “And make him a partner in my task.” 32 so that we exalt You 33 And may make mention of Thee oft. 34 You are Well Aware of our situation." 35 (Allah) said: "Granted is thy prayer, O Moses!" 36 And certainly We bestowed on you a favor at another time; 37 “When We inspired in your mother’s heart whatever was to be inspired.” 38 "Cast him into the ark, and cast him into the river, and let the river throw him up on the shore. An enemy of Mine and his shall take him." And I loaded on thee love from Me, and to be formed in My sight, 39 Then your sister followed you, and said (to the people who had retrieved the child): 'Should I guide you to a person who can nurse him?' We thus brought you back to your mother that her heart may be cheered, and she may not grieve. (Remember) when you killed a man We saved you from anguish; and tested and steeled you (in other ways). Afterwards you sojourned for several years with the people of Midian; then you came up to the measure, 40 I have chosen thee for My service; 41 Go, you and your brother, with My signs and do not slacken in My remembrance. 42 Go, both of you, unto Pharaoh. Lo! he hath transgressed (the bounds). 43 Both of you must speak with him in a gentle manner so that perhaps he may come to himself or have fear (of God)." 44 They said: "Our Lord! Verily! We fear lest he should hasten to punish us or lest he should transgress (all bounds against us)." 45 (The Lord) said: "Be not afraid. I am verily with you, and I hear and see. 46 So go to him and say: 'The two of us have indeed been sent by your Lord. So let the children of Israel come with us, and do not oppress them. We have come to you with a token from your Lord. Peace on him who follows the way of guidance. 47 ‘It has indeed been revealed to us that the punishment is upon the one who denies and turns away.’” 48 Pharaoh said:" Moses! Who is the Lord of the two of you?" 49 He said: "Our Lord is He Who gave to each (created) thing its form and nature, and further, gave (it) guidance." 50 (The Pharaoh) said: "And what about the former generations?" 51 He (Moses) answered: 'The knowledge of them is in a Book with My Lord. My Lord neither goes astray, nor forgets. 52 The One Who has made the earth a bed for you and kept operative roads for you in it and sent down water from the sky; so with it We produced different pairs of vegetation. 53 So eat yourself and pasture your cattle. Surely there are many Signs in this for people of understanding. 54
