Seest thou one who turns back, 33 Gives a little, then hardens (his heart)? 34 Is with him knowledge of the unseen so that he seeth? 35 Or, has he not been told of that which is in the Scrolls of Moses 36 And Abraham who paid his debt: 37 That no burdened person (with sins) shall bear the burden (sins) of another. 38 And that for man shall be naught save that wherefor he endeavoureth. 39 And that his striving shall soon be seen- 40 Then he will be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense 41 To your Lord will all things eventually return. 42 And that He it is who maketh laugh, and maketh weep, 43 and that it is He who causes to die, and causes to live 44 And that it is He Who has created the two pairs, male and female? 45 From a drop (of seed) when it is poured forth; 46 and that it is for Him to grant the second life, 47 That it is He who makes you rich and contented; 48 And that He is the Lord of the Sirius; 49 It was He who totally destroyed the former 'Ad 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace of them, 51 and that He it is Who destroyed the people of Noah before for they were much given to iniquity and transgression. 52 And Al-Mu'tafikah He destroyed 53 and then covered them from sight forever. 54 Then which of the Graces of your Lord (O man!) will you doubt. 55 THIS IS a warning like those warnings of old: 56 The (Judgment) ever approaching draws nigh: 57 none except Allah can disclose it. 58 Does this statement seem strange to them 59 And you laugh at it and weep not, 60 while you are thoughtless? 61 So prostrate yourselves before God and worship him. ۩ 62
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
