No! By the moon 32 and by the night when it recedes, 33 and the morning when it appears, 34 Verily, it (Hell, or their denial of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, or the Day of Resurrection) is but one of the greatest calamities. 35 A warning to mortals, 36 To him among you who wishes to go forward or remain behind. 37 Every soul will be in captivity for its deeds 38 Save the fellows of the right. 39 In gardens they will ask one another 40 about the sinners. 41 "What led you into Hell Fire?" 42 They will answer: "We did not fulfil our devotional obligations, 43 nor did we feed the destitute. 44 and we were wont to indulge in sinning together with all [the others] who indulged in it; 45 "And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 until the inevitable event overtook us.” 47 So there will not benefit them the intercession of [any] intercessors. 48 Why then do they turn away from the admonition 49 As if they were frightened (wild) donkeys. 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Nay; every one of them desires that he may be given pages spread out; 52 By no means. In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Nay! it is surely an admonition. 54 Let anyone who seeks guidance do so. 55 And they shall not heed unless Allah willeth. He is the Lord of piety, and the Lord of forgiveness. 56
