The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

OH, the sudden calamity! 1 What is the startling calamity? 2 How will you comprehend what the startling calamity is? -- 3 It is a Day whereon mankind will be like moths scattered about, 4 and the mountains like tufts of carded wool. 5 Then he whose deeds weigh heavy in the Scale 6 shall inherit a pleasing life, 7 But as for him whose deeds are light on the scales, 8 His refuge will be an abyss. 9 And what will make you know what it is? 10 It is a blazing fire. 11
