▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ But nay! I swear by the falling of stars; 75 (and that is indeed a mighty oath, did you but know it) 76 that this is an honorable Quran 77 In Book well-guarded, 78 Which none can touch except the purified. 79 Sent down by the Lord Of The Creation. 80 How can you regard this discourse with disdain? 81 And make denial thereof your livelihood? 82 Why is it not then that when it (soul) comes up to the throat, 83 And you at the moment are looking on, 84 We are closer to him than you, even though you cannot see? 85 Wherefore then, if ye are not to be requited 86 can you not cause that [ebbing life] to return - if what you claim is true? 87 Then, if he is one of the honoured, 88 Then breath of life, and plenty, and a Garden of delight. 89 And if he be of the fellows on the right hand, 90 (For him is the salutation), "Peace be unto thee", from the Companions of the Right Hand. 91 But if he is one of those who rejected [the truth] and went astray, 92 Then the welcome will be boiling water 93 and the heat of hell fire. 94 Verily, this is indeed the truth of truths! 95 So exalt the Name of your Lord, the Great. 96
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
