Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

CONSIDER the bright morning hours, 1 and by the night when it covers, 2 Your Lord (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) has neither forsaken you nor hated you. 3 And the Hereafter is indeed better unto thee than the life present. 4 Your Lord will give you, and you will be satisfied. 5 Found He not thee an orphan, so He sheltered thee? 6 Did He not find you perplexed, and show you the way? 7 And He found thee in need, and made thee independent. 8 Do not oppress the orphans 9 And as for the petitioner, do not repel [him]. 10 And abundantly proclaim the favours of your Lord. 11
